This one-of-a-kind knife is one of our artisan hand-forged knives. It is handmade out of Crucible steel with a propane forge and good old-fashioned hammer. The Stabilized Cottonwood Scales handle and stained leather belt sheath are custom and handmade to fit this knife.
This design is one of our hunting knives. It has a modified convex grind, that also works great in the kitchen for carving large birds or slabs of meat. Heat treated to 60 – 62 HRC, this knife was modeled after historical cowboy knives, mimicking the ruggedness and sleek utilitarian look. The “Moondog” is a little piece of the frontier brought to life. Whether you’re cutting rope, carving an apple, or *ahem* prepping your catch for dinner, you can trust this blade to hold up and not slip or dull.
